Known Issues v3.0

Execution Error In AutoCAD

This error occurs due to missing or incompatable reference librarys that the ADAC tool requires to run in AutoCAD.

  • In most cases the Active Control causing the issue is MSCOMCT2.OCX.  The latest copy can be downloaded from here...

http://activex.microsoft.com/controls/vb6/mscomct2.cab

  • Once downloaded, extract the OCX file and move it to C:\Program Files\ADAC\.  Open a Command Prompt and cd to the ADAC folder.  Then type regsvr32 mscomct2.ocx which will push the details into the Registry.
  • Open a new session of Autocad.
  • Press ALT + F11 (AutoCAD VBA starts)
  • Double click Wae.dvb (contact us)
  • Then go to Tools - References
  • Remap the entry - Microsoft Windows Common Controls-2 6.0 (SP6) - to the ADAC folder by selecting it and pressing the browse button and finding C:\Program Files\ADAC\MSCOMT2.OCX
  • Press OK and exit the VBA tool saving as you go.
  • Restart AutoCAD
  • If you continue to get an execution error then please repeat the steps above for the COMDLG32.OCX Active Control.

Installation of ADAC on Vista machines

The ADAC install file (ADAC 3.0.msi) does not cleanly install on Vista systems. The problem is that the install file doesn't request an elevation of privilege that is needed for UAC. a workaround is to open command prompt as administrator, cd to the the directory where ADAC was downloaded to and type in 'msiexec /i "ADAC 3.0.msi" '.

ADAC V3

The ADAC V3 Schema was updated in October 2010 to the new version V4. Over the past twelve months V4 has progressed greatly and is now fully robust. Translation tools are no longer supplied by council but are now provided by third party companies.

Please go to the Downloads section of the website to get the latest schema and associated documentation or to the Affiliated software vendors page for any authoring tools.
