Participating Councils

ADAC now boasts 16 Councils on board! Both as Core members and associates, with a lot of interest coming from across the country.

These are some of the members:

Brisbane City Council (Core member)

Brisbane City Council currently does not mandate the use of ADAC. Its asset management system is under review.

Gold Coast City Council (Core member)

Gold Coast City Council after evaluating their entire asset management system has restructered there As Cons standard to the dta specifications of ADAC.All presentations to Gold Coast as of the 25th of March will be rquired in the ADAC V4 format.

Gympie Regional Council (Core member)

Council actively encourages the use of ADAC for the submission of As-Constructed data, although the use of ADAC is not a formal requirement of the current planning scheme policies.  It is now that the use of ADAC will be a requirement of the Gympie Regional Council's planning scheme.

Council has developed processes to import ADAC V3 drawings into the GIS and Assets systems, which include quality checking routines.  This allows for reduced processing and acceptance times for data using the ADAC format.

Council is currently investigating and developing methods to process ADAC XML files in ADAC V4.

Bundaberg Regional Council (Core member)

Bundaberg Regional Council does not yet mandate the use of ADAC or have the capablity to generate or accept ADAC compliant drawings.  It is however very keen to allow and enable engineering drawings to be created and submitted in a standardised data format.  It recognises that ADAC is the most widely used drawing submission standard in Queensland and would like to contribute to its development.

Logan City Council (Core)

Logan have come on board with a lot more focus of recent times towards commencing implementation of ADAC and have recently been given the green light to begin. gis@moretonbay.qld.gov.au

Redland City Council (Core)

Redland City Council also encourages the use of ADAC and has developed several in-house validation tools which assist expedite the DA and asset management processes.  Council is an active participant in the consortium's Strategic Reference Group.

Sunshine Coast Regional Council (Core)

Sunshine Coast Regional Council was the main initiator of ADAC, and the standard is an integral part of its business systems.  Lodgement of ADAC data is mandatory in the region.

Toowoomba Regional Council (Core)

Toowoomba has recently joined the consortium and is presently managing the integration of sytems from 8 pre-amalgamation councils.  it is committed to implementing ADAC.

Townsville City Council (Core)

Townsville has re-joined the consortium with a view to rolling out ADAC implementation in 2010.

Whitsunday Regional Council (Core)

Whitsunday have just raised their involvement with David Hobson formerly of WA joining there Assett management team.

 

Lockyer Valley Regional Council (Associate)

With the recent flooding Lockyer Valley have a lot to do in assett recording. The ADAC SRG are using Lockyer Valley as a case study to see how we can best mould the Specification to smaller councils.

 

Isaac Regional Council (Associate)

Isaac have only recently come aboard and will be assisted by the consortium.

 

Tweed Shire Council (Associate)

Tweed are our first of many Councils from south of the border.

 

Scenic Rim Regional Council (Associate)

Scenic Rim have recently joined and will be assisted by the consortium.

 

Queensland Motorways LTD (Associate)

Queensland Motorways are the first utility to join the ADAC consortium.

ADAC V3

The ADAC V3 Schema was updated in October 2010 to the new version V4. Over the past twelve months V4 has progressed greatly and is now fully robust. Translation tools are no longer supplied by council but are now provided by third party companies.
